About Best AI for Fiction Writing
This guide is written by the team behind Feldar, a writing app for novelists and fiction writers. Feldar is ours, and it comes first in our picks.
Why task by task
"Best AI for fiction" depends on the job. The tool that is best for brainstorming is rarely the one you want touching your sentences. So instead of one ranking, this guide matches tools to the parts of writing fiction: brainstorming, plotting, drafting, line editing, feedback, worldbuilding, research and interactive stories.
How we check facts
Prices, plans and features of other companies' tools come from their own pricing pages, feature pages and help centres, checked between 5 and 8 November 2026 and linked under Sources. If a page did not say something, we say "not stated". No one paid to appear here, and we do not use scores.
Corrections
Email support@feldar.com if anything is wrong or out of date. We fix it and change the date at the top of the page.
